One dull, cloudy morning Lola, who was bright and a very admired person..oh and she just adored horses, created a THUD as she slid off her bouncy bed. She lived in the hectic town of London, in a secure house with her mum. She grumbled without gratitude ”Why do we always have to be wedged with this bitter and lacklustre weather?”. Then Lola groaned dramatically as she remembered she had to go swimming. Despite the fact that Lola had slept lazily till 10:00, her eyelids were pleading her to reverse back into bed.
But persistent to prove her mum she wasn’t indolent, Lola smoothly slipped on her shoes. To her bewilderment, she could feel energy bubbling sadistically like a scorching pot of broth, being pumped into her body, and a second later Lola was swept up off her feet and started gyrating like a brutal whirlwind.
Abruptly, Lola found herself in a tangle of sparkling emerald leaves and kindling. She stared, encircling, her eyes popping out......She was in a tropical rain forest! She blinked twice, yelped, and gasped for a lungful of air like a goldfish. Cautiously the leaves all took out their long frail fingers, and shook hands. Starting to feel composed, Lola tiptoed forward trying not to formulate a lot of noise. The trees swayed tenderly in the puff of air, the path was concealed underneath the thick coat of mud and the shrubbery huddled together inaudibly. Petrified, Lola took a step back as the gust of wind whistled delicately in her ear.
A few minutes later she came to a elongated crooked bridge. She stopped. Eyes bulging out. Vigilantly Lola traipsed over the emaciated rope bridge. It creaked making Lola soar up, nearly losing her equilibrium. Soon, a crystal blue cascading waterfall, which rippled every now and then, came into vision. Lola wanted to investigate further, but a wall of heavy rain cut her off. Plus, to her disappointment more rain appeared overhead and going as slow as a wrecked car it started dripping downwards. The droplets of rain were infinitesimal creatures geared up to molest Lola, “now, I’m starting to think pessimistically, I should think optimistically..NO more diminutive monsters”, she stammered out loud. So the thought bubble of creatures vanished with a POP. Masses of thoughts raced through her head, transferring her onto another planet. How she longed to just clutch the water firmly and drag it into her.
But that wasn’t the most significant thing on Lola’s mind. “How am I going to get home?”she wailed, a fountain of tears forming on the covered in dust tracks. As if by magic, as soon as these words came plummeting from her mouth, she got sucked into the dim sky. And soon found herself back on her feet, standing in her own bedroom. The next day, as Lola put her shoes on nothing happened! No exquisite sentiment, no vigour being pumped in. Nothing. So the mystery of the tropical rain forest was never solved by Lola, but she did pass those identical shoes onto her extremely unique petite sister.......
